SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Allows customers to define and trigger alerts and email notifications for all MDF objects including the custom objects as an offset of every date of the object record.
Configuration type: Admin opt-in
Prerequisite: Define an alert, workflow, business rule for the object.
Why is it important? Clients now have the option to proactively inform employees, managers or HR admins upon a business event so that they can initiate the necessary activities right in time.
Support for Edit via Exception: Enables Benefits admin to provide employees to "Edit“ their enrollments via exceptions.
Configuration type: Admin opt-in
Why is it important? Gives employees the opportunity to edit their enrollment even after the regular enrollment window closes (dependents additions).
Competency type is a new attribute that are customer-defined labels that you can assign to a competency. You can assign zero, one or more competency types to any given competency.
Configuration type: Universal
Why is it important? Competency types can be used to classify competencies into customer-specific groupings. Eg. “Functional”, “Technical”, “Industry”, etc.
Allows you to change the text of label “Contingent worker” to show in the Org chat, Search and People Profile. You can translate the text of the label in the configuration.
Configuration type: Admin opt-in.
Prequisites: EC Contingent workforce management
Why is it important? Allows you to adjust the label for external workers as per your company policy.
