SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Core.
Configuration Type: Admin Center opt-in
Why is it important? Since EC allows the rehire/reactivation of a terminated employment on a different Legal Entity and allows to change the Legal Entity of an active employee, it often causes problems in Payroll, GDPR, and Data Protection. Payroll won’t accept company changes in EC, GDRP shows conflicting retention times and impacts country specific employment laws, and Data protection to prevent new manager to view employee history.

Why is it important? It will simplify the adoption of the rules that are in admin tools. No need to submit support tickets to update XML. Increase flexibility for Business Rules allowing more complex logic and easier handling.

Why is it important? Rules need to be specified to contexts to improve performance and avoid rule to execute in unwanted scenarios within the system.
Configuration Type: Admin Center opt-in
Why is it important? New field called “no changes until” will inform the user for each pay component if there is ever a change. Will help user with data entry with no permission to the history.
Configuration Type: Universal
Why is it important? Now supporting person information in Configure People Profiles, so now the fields in screen of dependents can be configured.
