SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q3 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Mobile.

Native Adaptive UI - iOS

This release is the culmination of the SAP & Apple partnership. With this release the iOS client interface is fully adaptive to screen size and orientation

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Features are now 100% the same across all iOS devices. Users can now use the device in any orientation they wish as with any other iOS application.

Demo Mode - iOS

Simple demo mode will allow you to showcase the new iOS interface without worrying about network availability, service performance or stability.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Account facing teams have been looking for an effortless way to perform casual, ad-hoc mobile demos for prospective clients. In addition, this will allow clients to play with the mobile experience on their own.

Native Learning - Android

This release replaces the legacy hybrid implementation with a fully native, Material Design compliant user experience.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? This native implementation provides better performance and improved usability to the mobile learning features on Android. In addition, it brings the Android client on par with all online iOS client features. Offline content launching will be implemented later in 2017.

Other Minor but Helpful Enhancements:

  • Open PDF within the app – Android (Universal): Some 3rd party applications could not read PDF documents from the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile secure storage. This capability allows users to open PDF documents within the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile instead of utilizing 3rd party PDF applications. Users can use pinch to zoom and tap to navigate the PDF document.
  • Time off Attachment - Android (Admin Opt-in): Customer configurations often require users to attach supporting documentation (e.g. medical certification in case of a sick leave) before such requests can be submitted. Without this support, users often had to switch back to a browser to complete their time off request. Users can now attach documents to their time off requests on their Android phones.
  • CPM: 3D Touch Support – iOS (Universal): – With 3D touch, users can quickly peek into activities in CPM, without navigating away from the screen. Managers can see activities that a direct report is working on. Individual contributors can see the full text of their own activities.
  • RCM: Add comment to rating in Assess Candidate - Android (Admin Opt-in): – While providing candidate assessments, users can now add comments to candidate ratings –both individual and overall ratings.
