Q4 2017 Release Highlights: SAP Jam

SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q4 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SAP Jam.

Privacy Improvements: Exclude SuccessFactors Profile Data

Admins can specify which SuccessFactors employee profile attributes to exclude from being populated to and searchable in SAP Jam. 

Benefits:

• Compliance with country and regional-specific privacy laws.
• Control over what profile information is relevant.

Real-Time Updates for Forums and Content Pages

Replies to questions that are marked as Best Answer will now appear without a page refresh. Idea status and vote counts are now reflected in real time. Content item titles, description and metadata are updated in real time.

Benefit:

• Pages no longer need to be refreshed to see an accurate status of the object.

Gallery View for Content

You can now view group content as gallery of thumbnails and easily switch between gallery and list.

Benefit:

• Quickly identify and work with images and documents, especially those that have similar or non-descriptive names (eg.DSC0001.jpg).

Customizable Header

JAM now offers fully customizable layout and functionality. Inject custom branding, menus, and dynamic content. You'll now have full access to HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

• Significantly extend corporate intranet capabilities beyond standard SAP Jam.
• Consistent corporate branding.

Web Branding Enhancements

Provide custom font types for menu tabs and widget titles for home pages and overview pages. Specify custom font size for widget titles.

• Enhanced page designs

Custom Sub-Domain Support

Now you can update your sub-domain to reflect your company or intranet name. For example acme.sapjam.com It's done by logging request ticket with Support.

• Brand your SAP Jam tenant with a custom name
• More easily recognized by end-users, providing less opportunity for phishing attempts
• Makes it easier for administrators to test and differentiate between test and production systems.
