SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Calibration.

Calibration Alert Reporting

The Calibration Alert Business Beyond Bias feature was released in Q4 2017. In this release the Ad-Hoc Reports have been enhanced so that these Alerts can be reported upon:

  • Lack of Promotion
  • LOA Impacting Rating
  • Dramatic Performance Rating Reduction

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Report on Alerts creation/Changes for subjects

Read Access Logging – Hide Sensitive Fields for Calibration

If there are sensitive fields in the application then any read for these fields needs to logged. For Talent (and thereby Calibration) we have taken the approach to hide the sensitive fields so that these are not visible on the screens in case the read access flag in “on.” Fields that have been flagged as sensitive fields are: Gender, Ethnicity, Minority, Nationality, SSN, VeteranDisabled, VeteranMedal, VeteranProtected, VeteranSeparated.

These fields are not shown in templates, Calibration Sessions and Ad-Hoc Reports.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? Sensitive data about a subject is not divulged as per GDPR regulations.

Master Data Purge

Master Data purge will purge inactive subject data from the system.

  • Inactive subject will be purged from sessions
  • Inactive reviewers will be purged as well

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? This GDPR regulation requires that all personal data of a subject is purged after the retention period for the data is over. Hence this enhancement provides the possibility to purge all subject data.

Change Logging (Audit Reporting)

Report on any changes to the personal data as part of Calibration Sessions.

  • Comments and EP rating are logged for changes.
  • PM, Comp fields are not logged as these fields are logged at the source.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? Personal data changes as required by GDPR regulation can be provided.

GDPR – Information Reporting

This enhancement supports the right to data portability and access as prescribed within GDPR – essentially allowing individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data in an open format for their own purposes across different services.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? Support the data portability and access dimensions with GDPR by allowing users to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one environment to another in a safe and secure way, without hindrance to usability.

GDPR – Data Purge

This enhancement supports the right to erasure or “be forgotten” as prescribed within with GDPR – essentially allowing the GDPR DPO to effectively purge personal data associated with a subject user. The DPO can use the newly redesigned Data Time Retention Management tool available through Manage Data in Admin Center.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? Support the data erasure dimension of GDPR – supports the right to allow an individual to request the deletion or removal of personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.
