SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Payroll, Localization, Benefits and Time Management.
Payroll System Information
New screen where admin can view current, upcoming, and available support packages. Information about affected countries, availability dates, etc. are included.

Why is it important? Support the admin in getting a better overview of the support packages available relevant to EC Payroll.
Enhancements: Angola and Malawi

Why is it important? New country baseline versions are added to help maintain country specific employee data.
Benefits Opt Out

Why is it important? If employee had enrolled in benefits and faces a life changing event and would like to opt out, they can do it themselves.

Directly access benefits from the Action search.

Why is it important? Reduced number of clicks.
Benefits: Import of Enrollments and Claims

Why is it important? The enrollment and claim templates will need to have an enrollment or claim ID for insert/update/delete records.
Benefits: Enhanced contribution amounts for Insurance Plans

Why is it important? New fields available for Health Insurance plans in the US in Rate Cart Plan, Pre and Post tax employee contribution, and imputed income. These were needed to deduct US domestic partner coverage and premium payroll billing.
Advances Management: Enhanced Advanced Pending Request
Configuration Type: Admin Center opt-in
Why is it important? Previously were part of the spot bonus, and now can be managed in the “current advances” portlet within a link for better experience.
Benefits and Advances Rules Scenario
Admin can view where the rule has been assigned.

Why is it important? Admin able to see which rules are being utilized, if they have been created, and assign if needed.
Benefits and Claims Available for Employees for Action in iOS and Android in the Mobile App
Employees can access benefits and launch claims on their iPhone or Android phones.
Why is it important? Added convenience and accessibility for employees on the go.
