SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Enhancements

I-9 Reverification Corporate Structure Data Relations 

The Corporate Structure parent/child relations is now removed.

Configuration Type: Universal 

Why is it important? Custom Corporate Structure, regarding I-9 is now available. The structure is no longer hard coded.  This will allow for Customers to align their corporate structure with the I-9 process.

Compliance Updates - Universal

  • Federal W4– Spanish and English versions updated. Worksheets and Instructional text updated.
  • I-9 Field Length Error – Special Characters or spaces were not accepted on the drivers license field causing errors. This is now been fixed to allow for special characters and/or spaces.
  • I-9 Reverification text update –Added the phrase “citizen/immigration status selected correct” in place of citizen status selected correct.

Notable Fixed Issues - Universal

  • Candidates bypass required fields in panel(s) – New hires were able to bypass required fields on panels that had required validators. This affected some not all panels. This issue is fixed.
  • Data protection policy content was lacking Accept/Decline button and had poor scrolling experience – Previously data protection policy window was appearing poorly in the mobile experience. Content will now display correctly in all modes including landscape. Users can accept/decline the consent. 
  • E-Verify process “Notify Employee” button not functioning – Previously leading to “Cancel” dialog window. This is now fixed and sends an email to the employee.   

Onboarding 2.0 (formerly known as Onboarding 2018) Enhancements

  • Deprecation of N1 Hiring Manager Activities – Currently there are two ways to provide Hiring Manager Activities. N1 notifications and MDF based are the two sources.  N1 notifications will be deprecated in 1905.  No new enhancements will be available and N1 hiring manager activities will no longer be supported.
