For our readers benefit, AltaFlux would summarize the improvements and product enhancements in Dell Boomi Atomsphere. The following are improvements to the November 2015 release of Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
Docker Atom Installer
Dell Boomi has used Docker to create a Docker image that includes all of the files that you need to install a local Atom. Using this Docker image makes an Atom installation easier for you because Dell Boomi provides and installs the operating system, JRE and Atom installer. Using the Docker image ensures that each Atom that you install will run the same way. See the Docker Atom system requirements for more information. Once you have installed your Atom with Docker, you can maintain the Atom and adjust its settings through the AtomSphere UI, just like you would with any other Atom.
The use of Docker to install and maintain a local Atom is a “Tech Preview” not intended for production use. Your feedback is welcome. The ability to use Docker to install Molecules and Clouds will be available in a future release.
Test Mode Limits
In test mode you can process a maximum of 100 documents per inbound connector shape or a total of 10 MB of data in a single process execution. Previously test mode limited you to 10 documents or 1 MB of data.
Administrators and users having the View Audit Logs privilege are able to see the following in the audit log:
> Atoms that were deleted
> Processes that were attached or detached to/from an Atom or environment
Dell Boomi Atom Cloud
As of this release, forked executions on the Dell Boomi Atom Cloud are configured to prefer IPv4 networking.
Dell Boomi EU Atom Cloud
In order to improve performance for all customers, the following limit has been placed on the EU Atom Cloud: The Account Concurrent Execution Limit property has been set to 50. Each account can run up to 50 simultaneous process executions.
OAuth 2.0 Connection Settings Extensions
Connection settings are individually extensible for OAuth 2.0 token-based authentication through the Google Apps connector. Two new AtomSphere API objects, Atom Connection Field Extension Summary and Environment Connection Field Extension Summary, enable the manual user interaction required for OAuth 2.0 access token generation.
Support for programmatic provisioning by partners of trial and active customer sub-accounts with specified features has been added to the AtomSphere Partner API.
The ability to filter in the Build tab’s Component Explorer has been added.
A pop-up window asks if you want to install at Atom if you do not have an Atom installed and you are attempting to run a process that requires one to be installed.
A new SSL certificate, SSL Client Authorization, is available in the AS2 Client Connector and in the Trading Partner Communication tab.
The Connector SDK is updated to version 1.2.5 effective with this release. This update adds field-level extension support for OAuth 2.0. See the changelog.
Google Apps Connector
When using the Google Apps connection with OAuth 2.0, you need to provide only the client ID, client secret and access token.
The NetSuite connector supports version 2015.2, which includes custom transactions and an updated and required Application ID.
The SAP connector supports external load balancers by adding a new Message Server connection type.
Toad Intelligence Central Connector
A new connector that pushes data into Toad Intelligence Central is available in this release.
WSDL v.69, which adds new objects and operations, is supported in the Zuora Operation’s Inbound and Outbound actions.
