SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Recruiting Management.

HR Master Data

Adoption of Field Objects/Generic Objects field types in the job requisition and offer would now allow Recruiting Management to support HR Master Data. Will allow for creating of data once with the ability to maintain from Recruiting to Employee Central. Recruiting will now have supporting fields that can be defined in the MDF. Foundations Objects/Generic Objects must be turned on however Employee Central is not mandatory.

Configuration Type
: Provisioning Opt-In

Why is it important? This improves the reusability and the consistency between fields in Recruiting and Employee Central.

Internal and External Career Search Settings (Customer Community Idea)

Previously, the ability to update career search settings was only available via provisioning. Now the option is available through the Admin Center. This enhancement can be permissioned out so only certain roles will have permission to make updates.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Users now have the ability to make real time changes without having to engage with a SuccessFactors partner.

Recruiting Email Token Validation (Customer Community Idea)

Recruiting now has the ability to validate the use of standard email tokens. As email templates are being configured, the system will alert the user with a warning message if a token is unsupported.

Configuration Type:
Universal

Why is it important? Until now, the user could maintain invalid tokens which would result in misconfiguration. Now the user will know immediately if the token is not supported.

Mobile Apply SMS Enablement

Candidates are now able to opt-in receive SMS text messages when creating or updating a candidate profile. Updates can be sent directly to their mobile device via text instead of email.

Configuration Type:
Opt-in

Why is it important? This was previously only available with non-mobile candidate profiles.

New Standard Field for User who has Forwarded a Candidate

The candidate workbench now supports a new reportable field called “Forwarded By” which will display the name of the user who forwarded a candidate to a requisition. This column is hidden by default, so users will need to opt-in to display it.

Configuration Type:
Universal

Why is it important? With this update users can see who added a candidate to their requisition. The field is available if they opt-in and it's reportable.
