SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Succession and Development.

Calculation Option for Career Worksheet Role Readiness

Before: the “role readiness” score on the career worksheet was calculated as the percentage of the competency expected ratings that are met for a role, in which each expected rating met is worth a full point and each rating not met is worth zero.

After: there is now an option to choose a proportional calculation, in which each competency rating is weighted as a percentage of the expected rating. Also supports ratings on competency behaviors

Why is it important? A more accurately score shows how close (or not) an employee is to full readiness for a role.

Succession Planning Fiori-style Icons 

The existing list of Succession talent flags used on the Succession Org Chart, Calibration, 9box, and Talent cards has been updated with new Fiori icons.

Why is it important? Consistency across all modules.

Succession Planning Data Purge “Inactive Nominations Only”

This new enhancement supports “the right to be forgotten” per the Data Protection and Privacy regulation. During Q2 the new purge option allows customers to purge inactive succession nominations with the status of removed, rejected, succeed.
