SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Calibration, Succession Planning and Career Development Planning (CDP).

Calibration

Expand 9-Box (Matrix) View

Allows user to expand the matrix/9-Box in Calibration sessions to allow more subject to be viewed.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Provides greater capability to see all subjects in the 9-box (matrix).

UI Improvements to Unrated Panel

  • Unrated panel collapses by default when no unrated subjects
  • Number of subjects next to categories
  • One scroll bar in unrated panel, removing group vertical scroll bars
  • Bottom border for each subject
  • More link when category has more than 20 subjects

Why is it important? Makes the unrated panel easier to use.

To-Do Tile: Automatic Update of Calibration Items in To-Do Summary Tile

Automatically remove ToDo items form the Team Calibration Summary Tile when using homepage v3

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Displays a cleaner ToDo tile via intuitive functionality no longer requiring manual deletions.

Succession Planning

Talent Search – Additional RBP for Allow Export

Allows administrators to export talent search data

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Gives customers additional control over who can export talent search data.

Add Incumbent Name in Talent Card Nomination Portlet

Incumbent names are displayed under the position in the nomination portlet of a Succession Talent Card

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? The v12 Talent Card now has functionality that was originally available in the previous version.

Adjust UI-Related Configuration Settings in Succession Org Chart

Only supported UI-related configuration settings are now displayed in Admin Center > Succession > Org Chart Configuration > Succession org chart

Why is it important? Customers will no longer be able ineffective permission options.

UI Change for Position Management in Admin Center

MDF position-based nomination method users will now use the Import and Export Data tool to manage positions

Why is it important? Users will have to use a different tool to manage positions.

 Email Alert in Case that “MDF Data Export” Type is Misused to Schedule Position Exporting Jobs

If MDF Data Export is used to export data when not using legacy positions, an email will be sent informing the user why the job failed

Why is it important? Users will be made aware of their use of the wrong tool.

Career Development Planning & Mentoring

Supervised Mentoring Programs Matching Interaction Improvements

“Match Now” in supervised mentoring programs will run a backend-job. From the program overview page administrators will be able to review and edit the match results.

Why is it important? Users will be able to more easily handle a large number of participants when using Supervised programs.
