SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Performance and Goals, 360, Continuous Performance Management and Mobile.


GM UI v11 – Was automatically upgraded on April 12, 2019
Goal Execution – End of Maintenance planned for end of 2019, End of Life planned for second half of 2020
PM v11 and PM v12 – Will be automatically upgraded to PM v12 Acceleration in the Q2 2019 release cycle


Performance Management

Ability to Remove a Signer Directly from Route Map Actions Menu

Allows a permissioned user to add a signer from the route map in the form. Allows a permissioned user to delete a signer from the route map in the form.

Prerequisites: Add signer configured

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Grants users the ability to make changes as it relates to signers without needing administrator permissions.

OData API Enhancement

Update Operation for Rating Supported in the ODATA API for Perf-Pot Section and OCOC Sections

OData APIs support Update operation for:

  • Perf/Pot Manual performance rating
  • Perf/Pot Manual potential rating
  • OCOC Manual overall objective rating
  • OCOC Manual overall competency rating

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? The increase in the OData API functionality will allow 3rd party integration support for updating the specified ratings.

Mobile

Talent/Learning: Create Achievement & Activities Based on Learning Courses (Android)

An integration between Learning and Continuous Performance Management that will allow user to:

  • Create CPM Activities for My Assignments Learning items from the item details screen
  • CPM Activity  creation prompts when assigning a Learning Catalog item
  • Delete CPM Activities when deleting Learning Assignments if created in Learning Assignments
  • Create CPM Achievements from completed Learning items history details screen
  • Display in CPM Activity & Achievement screens that the achievement/activity was creating from a Learning item

  • Mobile Features > Continuous Performance Management

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Enhances the user experience for Learning and Continuous Performance Management by no longer requiring the user to go from tab to tab.

Mobile

Continuous Feedback – View Sent Feedback Requests and Status (iOS & Android)

Employees will be able to see their initiated feedback requests as well as the status of the feedback requests. Managers will be able to see the feedback requests they initiated for their direct reports and the status of the feedback requests.

Prerequisite:
  • Continuous Performance Management
  • Mobile Features > Continuous Feedback

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Allows users to better track feedback requests they have initiated.

Performance Management

Section Weight and Item Weight (iOS & Android)

Manage section and item weight in forms when permissions have been granted for the Performance Goal Section, Development Goal Section and Competency Section.

Prerequisite:

  • Performance Management
  • Mobile Features > Performance Management
  • Permission
    1. View and/or Edit Weight in the form

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Gives mobile users a single place to access weight information and provides web capabilities to mobile users.

Continuous Performance Management (CPM)

View Feedback Requests

A series of visual and experience improvements to make the CPM module more consistent with the SuccessFactors suite. Improvements include:
  • Loading Animations
  • UI Consistency with Tab Bar
  • Rounded Thumbnails/Photos

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Provides a consistent look and improves the overall end user experience.

Modification to CPM Role Based Permission to Respect Target Population

Require a target population for CPM users. Impact:

  • CPM customers will need to verify the permissions in Role-Based Permissions
  • CPM customers will need to determine whether configuration changes are needed
  • Mobile CPM users must make sure employees have self in their target population and managers have self and direct reports in their target population

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Provides more control over who can access CPM.

Check Tool Enhancements

Permission Check on Cascading Goals

Checks to determine the required read and write permissions have been given to the cascade.

Prerequisite
  • Access to Check Tool

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? It will assist users in determining whether or not required permissions have been granted.
