SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q4 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Platform, Reporting, Analytics & Planning.
User Experience: Admin UI for Setting Dynamic Tile Information in Custom Tiles
SAP has redesigned the user interface for creating custom tiles with dynamic third-party content. The dynamic tile is now available as a new option in tile type. As an admin, you no longer need to provide dynamic tile info in JSON code. Instead, available as a new option in tile type.

Why is it important? The new user-friendly admin UI for setting dynamic tile info in the custom tile will enable admins without deep technical knowledge to configure the content to display on the tiles.
Business Rules: New UI to Search Business Rules & Start Maintenance
You can now view and manage business rules on the Business Rule admin page. You can search, filter, sort, and group business rules. You also have the options to create and display rules from the page. You can access the Business Rule admin page the same way as you accessed the “Configure Business Rules."

Why is it important? The new page provides a clear overview of all rules in your company system. It makes it much easier to find existing rules via filtering for a certain attribute or rule name or user. It offers more capabilities and better efficiency for business rules management.
Integration: New Permission for Business Scenarios
Business Scenarios are pre-delivered standard scenarios to support business processes between SuccessFactors and other SAP systems. A new role-based permission “Access to Business Scenario” has been added to configure business scenarios.

Why is it important? Previously, integrations for both Business Scenarios and Integration Center were accessible if you had “Access to Integration Center” role-based permission enabled.
Report Center: Multi-Action Import/Export
It is now possible to select multiple reports at once (up to 50) of different report types. These reports can be exported in one action in a single zip file and this single zip file can then also be imported together.

Why is it important? Applying multiple actions to many reports at the same time allows for a simpler and quicker report administration.
Workforce Planning for S/4 HANA Cloud
Content for SAP Analytics Cloud to run an annual headcount planning process. The model allows companies to plan FTE and personnel expenses by job, location and cost center. The personnel expenses can include salaries, merit, bonus, benefits, travel and more. The content contains data model & dimensions, data actions to calculate fully loaded cost per FTE, input forms and reports.

Why is it important? The annual headcount planning process is highly connected to the annual financial planning process. As such the two processes should leverage the same cost assumptions and be connected so headcount and personnel expenses planned in te headcount planning process can flow into the budget planning process.
Minor but Helpful Enhancements:
- Ability to view large picklists: Currently large picklists cannot be viewed in the user interface A new Fiori based UI will allow users to view large MDF picklists.
- Integration Center: Improvements for Jobs: In case of Job Scheduler server restart, any running Integration Center jobs which are recovered and executed are now cancelled and not allowed to run.
- Check Tool: Admin Center Tile – A new tile is available in the Admin Center that shows a summary of the latest check results from the check tool.
