In this blog, we'll walk you through how position object audit trails work in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. If you are looking for changes to a specific position there are three (3) ways you can do that:

  1. Position Org Chart
  2. Manage Data
  3. Advanced Reporting

Option #1: Position Org Chart

Navigate to the position org chart, click on the position, and the info card will display how the position used to look and how it will look in the future (if any future changes are pending).

Option #2: Manage Data

You can also access the position in Manage Data, however, this is more of an admin function/view vs. an end-user view. In Admin Center, you go to Manage Data, select the position and you can view the history.

Option #3: Advanced Reporting

You can build an advanced report using the Position Object and the "last modified by" and "last modified date" fields along with the Position ID and any other related Position object fields you wish to report on.
