SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q1 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Platform, Embedded Analytics & Extended Analytics.

Report Center: Notification of Universal push to Preview & Production

Notification that Report Center will become universal. In Q2 2019, Report Center will become universal for all preview (test) instances. This will provide customers the time to review and to become familiar with functionality before Q3 2019 when Report Center will become universal for all production instances.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Report Center is the gateway to the new unified reporting solution. It will provide a single interface to create and run all SAP SuccessFactors reports. If customers have test instances in production environments, then these tests instances will be enabled for Report Center in Q3 2019.

Business Rules: Show Rule Assignment Information

You will now be able to view the rule assignment information as well as navigate to the rule assignment UI to e.g. easily change the rule assignment there. Please not, that the navigation might not be available for all rules.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? These new capabilities will better support admin users in their daily work as well as provide important information to the administrator which were not available till now.

Integration: Support Multiple SFTP Destinations for File based Outbound Integrations

Integration Center now supports adding multiple SFTP destinations in "Destination Settings" while creating file based outbound integrations, using which you can send the files to up to 3 SFTP destinations with a single run.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? If you require same file created by Integration Center to be sent to multiple destination folders, previously you had to schedule separate integrations but now you can do it in a single integration which will save your time and effort.

User Management: Disable login audit log for API login

Introduced a Disable API login Audit switch in Provisioning, once it is switched on, no API login audit log will be generated. This switch doesn’t impact BizX UI login audit log generation.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Some customers are using API logins to access BizX system too frequently, which led to huge login audit log, to disable API login audit log generation will decrease the DB insert load and improve DB stability.

Extended Analytics: Refresh Analytics Permissions

A new Administration Tool has been introduced to Workforce Analytics Administration: Refresh Analytics Permissions.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? This applies to instances using RBP Permissions in SAP SuccessFactors for managing the Workforce Analytics permissions (Integrated Permissions). Previously, when you changed any Workforce Analytics permissions from the "Analytics" tab in role-based permissions, there may have been a delay in these taking effect. Choosing the Refresh Analytics Permissions option, available on the "Workforce Planning and Analytics Administration" page, enables changes made in RBP permissions to immediately reflect in the Workforce Analytics tool. Depending on the logged in user’s permissions, it is possible to refresh the permissions for the logged in user only or for all users in the organization.

Minor but Helpful Enhancements:

  • Upcoming Additional Guardrail for Classic and Adhoc Reports: Guardrails are checks built in the system to ensure customers do not get sub-optimal performance experience when executing reports. SuccessFactors will be implementing an additional guardrail to guide the users to limit the total number of rows that are returned upon execution. This will be implemented both for Adhoc and Classic reports.
  • Create static groups in My Groups via CSV file upload: Allows customers to create a static group in My Groups by uploading a CSV file with the users.
  • CompoundEmployee API not supported in Integration Center: The support for Compound Employee API within Integration Center has been removed. This was a Beta feature and is not planned for GA release.
