SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SAP Jam.
Enhanced Feed Experience
Unified comments and replies across all feed item types, sort by both comments and replies or just comments are now supported.
Why is it important? Never miss an important discussion due to branching threads. Made feed more relevant while reducing feed volume.
Disable Media & Document Sharing in Mobile App
Company administrators now can disable the use of sharing features in the SAP Jam Mobile app.
Why is it important? Provides company administrators with finer grain security controls, better support for sensitive scenarios such as Finance & Healthcare and allows organizations to tailor their use of SAP Jam mobile to corporate security standards.
Header-based Group Navigation
New header area with a subtle navigation menu that retains all functionality with the left sidebar removed.
Why is it important? Enable group administrators to have better control over how members engage with groups and reduce navigation overload.
Document Check Out for Exclusive Edit Access
Documents can be checked out by a user to prevent overwrites with real-time indications when checked out, checked in or checkout discarded.
Why is it important? Real-time notifications help the user know whether a document is available for edits, and to make appropriate requests.
Improved Support for Embedding Images
New option to embed images directly into a wiki page, blog post, KB article, overview page, or custom home page is supported.
Why is it important? This allows easy maintenance of pages which includes all embedded images.
Other Minor but Helpful Enhancements:
- Improved Single Item View Pages: Action in overflow menus organized in an intuitive and consistent way, full page width provides more real estate to display information that was buried.
- Generate Table of Contents: Generate a table of contents from pre-marked headings inside a wiki page, blog post, or KB article with headings auto-hyperlinked and support for up to 6 heading levels.
- Callable Phone Numbers in Mobile– All phone numbers are now telephone hyperlinks in mobile app and mobile browsers.
