SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q2 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Performance Management and Goal Management.

Major Enhancements:

Performance Forms Administration: Support for Inactive User Assignments in Route Form Tool

The Route Form admin tool will now support form routing for forms associated to users with inactive employment assignments in Employee Central (e.g. terminated or completed). The following changes have been made to the Route Form tool:
  • Routing actions will be available for steps with inactive user employment assignments
  • Future steps involving inactive user employment assignments will be displayed in the route map
  • Inactive user employment assignment details will be displayed in relevant route map steps

Configuration Type: Universal

SuccessFactors Q3 Update: Performance Administration

Why is it important? This enhancement allows admins to view route map steps involving inactive user assignments. Now routing actions will not skip steps for inactive user assignments.


Performance Forms Administration: Job Summary for Mass Create Forms in Execution Manager

Admin users can now view the ”Summary So Far” details of a running “Mass_Create_Form” job from execution manager. The “Summary So Far” information for the “Mass_Create_Form” job will include the following information:
  • Number of records(forms) processed
  • Successful number of records(forms) processed
  • Number of records(forms) with errors
  • Total time taken

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? This update allows admins to view the status of launched forms. The Admin will receive information about the job execution in terms of number of forms which are Completed, In Process and in Error.

Continuous Performance Management: Achievement Direct Linking to Performance and/or Development Goals

This feature allows a user to link a CPM achievement directly to a performance and/or a development goal.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in

Why is it important? Provides greater flexibility to those users wanting to more efficiently create an achievement linked to a goal and then convert it to an achievement.

Continuous Performance Management: Auto-populate Achievements Goal Drop-downs Based on Activity Entity

This enhancement allows users to theme some CPM components that are tied to the BIzX Theme Manager.

Why is it important? Creates a more intuitive association between an existing activity linked to a goal and the newly created achievement.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in (Not yet available on Mobile)

Goals Management: Right-to-left Language Support

Additional enhancements were made to several pages/screens to support right-to-left languages. Including; Team Goal, Mass Assign, Cascade Goal, Assign Group Goal, Copy from other Goal Wizard, Smart Goal Wizard and Create Goal Wizard

Why is it important? Ensures the solution is accessible to users from countries in which right-to-left languages are spoken.

Minor Enhancements

Performance Management

  • The Team Overview page has been enhanced to properly handle Performance Forms which are linked to a disabled or deleted route map. In this scenario, users will no longer experience a Team Overview page which does not load but will instead see the forms which have an active route map and the forms tied to disabled or deleted route maps will be skipped/hidden from the page
  • Get Feedback/Add Signer/ Add Modifier: The auto-complete/user search component used in the Get Feedback pop-up has been updated inactive users can no longer be searched

Continuous Performance Management

  • Rename 'Provide Feedback' TODO tile to 'Feedback Requests
  • Removed the necessity for any role to require the Admin ODATA API permission. (Note if you have this role enabled for CPM users – you may remove it)
