SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q3 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Recruiting Management.

HR Master Data

Now supports effective dated foundation/generic objects in job requisitions and offer approvals.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-In

Why is it important? It is now possible to create a Job Requisition and Offer with fields whose values are currently inactive but would become active on a future date.

Eg.  A hiring manager wishes to start the hiring process for a new Location "Loc" which will become active in a month. A job requisition can now be created for this newly created “currently inactive” location.

Enhanced Background Check

Customers can now integrate with custom background check vendors, outside of the standard First Advantage and Verifications, Inc. integrations. This allows them the option to create background checks with any vendor of their choice.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in

Why is it important? Customers have at least three options (and the combinations of the three) to benefit from this enhanced functionality. First, they can use one, custom background check vendor of their choice within the enhanced standard SAP SuccessFactorsRecruiting Management user interface. For more advanced use cases, where more background check vendors are required in the same SAP SuccessFactors instance, potentially even on the same job requisition, customers can now utilize API technology to build custom integrations. Complete background check functionality has been exposed via OData API. Many background check vendors are in the process of building standard, productized integrations with SAP SuccessFactors.

Rule Engine in Recruiting Management (BETA)

Support Rules Engine configuration on Job Requisition and Offer Approval. Support for OnSave, OnInitand OnChange triggers.

Configuration Type: Provision Opt-in

Why is it important? It is now possible to create business rules to support business processes by defaulting values, validating fields and building functions.

Eg. If a hiring manager wants to create a requisition (originator) and default a location, division and department onto the requisition fields with values associated based on specific details.
