SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q3 2018 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Platform.
Fiori User Experience Upgrade in Preview
Fiori user experience which includes Fiori User Interface, People Profile and the new Home Page will be applied to the preview environment(s) of the customers that have RBP enabled with the Q3 release and to Production environment(s) with the Q4 release.

Why is it important? SAP SuccessFactors to provide the best-in-class and consistent Fiori user experience which includes Fiori User Interface, People Profile and the new Home Page.
Business Rules: Add To Collection
When an assignment of multiple instances of the same type is required, it is now possible to add these instances in one single statement or “collection” when you define a business rule.
Configuration Type: Universal
Why is it important? It is now possible to assign any number of instances instead of repeating several SET statements which improves user handling, rule structure clarity as well as performance.
RBP Check Tool checks
Role Based Permissions is added as an application selection option in Check Tool.
Configuration Type: Universal
Why is it important? Provides more user friendly/relevant check results for preventive/corrective action with this admin Self-Service capability.
Instance Sync: Source/Target Pairing
Configuration sync across two systems can now be performed automatically when the instance synchronize configuration wizard is launched.
Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in
Why is it important? To eliminate the need to open a customer support ticket to pair the source system with the target system with this admin Self-Service capability.
Integration Center – Metadata Changes
Integration Center automatically refreshes the metadata and makes it visible when an existing inbound integration is edited, and the metadata has changed. This automatically adds missing fields, updates all the metadata including data types, removes fields that no longer exist in the metadata, and at the same time keeps any mapped fields intact.

Why is it important? Customers will save time adjusting the integration based on changing metadata in the inbound integration.
Other Minor but Helpful Enhancements:
- Global Footer: Global footer is removed in the SuccessFactors application suite for all employees and the custom footer capability will be continued for Learning external users. The release versioning information is provided in the user menu.
- ToDo Tiles: Admin Settings to provide the ability to hide/show ToDo tiles per customer instance.
- LinkedIn Account Setup – Integration Center now supports the setup of the LinkedIn connection through the Security Center via the Integration Center.
