SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q3 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Onboarding.

Compliance

  • US SS-5: Panels are updated with new labels for fields, instructional text is updated and Form version updated.
  • Authorized to work until (date) field added in case of Lawful Permanent Resident choosing Foreign Passport with I-1551 or I-1551 with MRIV. This date is used for triggering Re-verification as well.
  • Australia Tax File Number Declaration form updated, new fields and text updates are added to the panel and form.
  • Canada Personal Tax Credits Return form TD1: The panel has been updated to allow the user to select only one checkbox as both are not meant to be selected together.

Why is it important? SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding stays up to date with the country’s compliance so the customer can focus on their business.

Configuration Type: Universal

Onboarding 2.0

Onboarding 2.0 is currently in Early Adopter Care Program status and planned to be Generally Available (GA) with Q4/2019 (Tentative)

  • The Compound Employee API provides a new parameter “hiringNotCompleted” to filter on records who are still onboardees so only the employee record is sent to the downstream systems in any integration.
  • New Hire can access company documents such as policy handbook and benefits guide from a custom tile on the Home Page.
  • Offboarding 2.0 program can be set from the Admin Center à Manage Onboarding 2.0 and Offboarding 2.0 task page.

Why is it important? The release highlights give a glance of all the new enhancements that will be available when customers migrate to the new solution once it is generally available.

Minor but Helpful Enancements:

  • Data Dictionary: When a field is related to multiple panels, it's automatically assigned the properties, StartIndex and NumberOfField. These properties and their values, which are set to -1, are now displayed in read-only mode for fields related to multiple panels. For fields that are not related to multiple panels, the properties and values are displayed in read-write mode.
