SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q3 2019 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Recruiting, Recruiting Marketing/Career Site Builder and Recruiting Posting.

Data Capture Form Updates for Existing Candidates: Configuration Type - Universal

  • Currently, existing candidates cannot complete data capture forms unless sent the link to the form via an email campaign.
  • If an existing candidate submits a form that was not sent via email campaign, then the candidate's information will not be saved to his/her profile and this activity would be lost.
  • This enhancement allows a Recruiter to search on the data capture form code and identify existing candidates who have unsuccessfully submitted the form and then describe this activity as a "visit". When the candidate is sent the form via the email campaign and submits the form using the link provided, the successful completion of the form is described as an "update".

Why is it important? Previously, recruiters were not able to determine whether an existing candidate had come into contact with the form at an event such as a career fair. The information submitted by the candidate would be lost and the interaction with that candidate would not be captured.

Configuration Type: Universal

Job Posting Actions from Requisition

Recruiters will be able to directly take actions from the Job Posting page of a Job Requisition, such as repost, edit job posting, add a job board and remove post.

Why is it important? Recruiters no longer need to click on “Post and Manage jobs” to perform an action on their job postings.

Configuration Type: Universal

Support Business Rules on Job Application

Recruiting users with admin privileges can define Business Rules for fields of an Application template. It's not currenlty possible to define onChange and onSave rules. Rules cannot be defined for all fields (refer to the documentation for the list of supported fields).

Why is it important? SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting customers can leverage the Business Rule engine to support client business processes by defaulting values and creating custom field calculations (Business Rule functions).

Configuration Type: Admin opt-in

Minor but Helpful Enhancements:

  • Interview Scheduling: Cascading Location Picklist: configure 2 additional picklists - can narrow down their selections before selecting the actual face-to-face interview Location.
  • Email Correspondence: Users can now ‘archive’ the entire email thread which moves the emails out of the ‘All Messages’ view into a new ‘Archive’ view or folder.
  • Expose Job Requisition System Field Labels in Admin Center: Recruiting Admin users can now change the labels of the Job Requisition standard fields in Admin Center.
  • View list of all users associated to a Posting Profile Admins can also view a list of Recruiters associated with a Posting Profile by selecting the Posting Profile directly in their tree (→ “Manage posting profiles and groups” tile) and selecting the Users tab to see associated Recruiters.
  • Field Mapping: Allow RCM User name mapping admins can now choose the contact data that prepopulates the job posting form. They can either use the posting profile contact information or the user contact information.
  • Advanced Analytics: Applicant conversion report  - customers view various conversion rates by source type.
  • Advanced Analytics: Average report - to show the average numbers for each step of the funnel and be able to filter results.
