SAP SuccessFactors has delivered enhancements and updates across the SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite as part of their Q4 2017 product release. Here are a few key updates you should consider for SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM), SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing (RMK) and Posting (RP).

Data Subject Information Report of Candidates (Beta for RCM)

A new service that will collect a candidate’s profile and application data in the system which can be used in a downloaded report. The data from the candidate profile and application would be reportable on both internal and external candidates. (Note: this feature is currently only offered in beta).

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? This new service enables Recruiting clients to easily provide an information report to their clients.

Rules Engine in RCM (Requisition & Offer) GA **Customer Community Idea**

It is now possible to apply rules to conditionally create and check the values of fields on Job Posting elements. These elements include: Internal Posting, Internal Private Posting, External Posting & External Private Posting. This will allow for removal of dependency on manual tasks for some repeatable situations. (Note: Employee Central is NOT required to use Rules Engine for Recruiting.)

Configuration Type: Provisioning opt-in

Why is it important? Rules Engine capabilities within Recruiting are available on Requisition templates and Offer Approval templates.  This will allow clients to automate business processes by executing rules based on triggers of on save, on initiate, on change and to raise appropriate messages.

Audit Logging of Changed User Data (RMK)

Automated process that will track the changes to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in RMK and store the data for reporting. The system will store the before and after values, the user or API that made the change and timestamps for each change.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Rules Engine capabilities within Recruiting are available on Requisition templates and Offer Approval templates.  This will allow clients to automate business processes by executing rules based on triggers of on save, on initiate, on change and to raise appropriate messages.

Data Privacy and Protection: Data Privacy Consent Statement (DPCS) (RMK)

Feature used to present the client’s Privacy Policy to Talen Community Members and track their acceptance to the published version of the Consent Statement.

Configuration Type: Admin Opt-in

Why is it important? Clients who have privacy requirements that require the disclosure of how the client manages the users privacy can use this feature to provide their policy and track the users acceptance with the support of versioning of the consent statement.

Information and Change Audit Reporting (RMK)

Automated process that will track the changes to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in RMK and store the data for reporting. The system will store the before and after values, the user or API that made the change and timestamps for each change.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Clients who have privacy requirements to provide reports to Data Subjects on the changes in their data will be able to generate a reports bases on data in the audit tables.

 RMK Advanced Analytics – Partner Enablement (GA)

Advanced Analytics can now be implemented and managed from RMK Command Center. This new advanced analytics administration tool was previously in Beta and is now GA for experienced partners and professional services consultants.

Configuration Type: Enhancement

Why is it important? Not only is advanced analytics significantly easier to implement and manage, it can now be done by partners.

Personal Data Reporting & Personal Data Purge (RP

Clients can generate personal data reports on recruiters and request personal data reports on candidates. They can also purge the personal data of recruiters and request the purge of personal data of candidates.

Configuration Type: Universal

Why is it important? Provides increased data protection and privacy.

RP and RMK Preview Environments Linked

The preview environment of both RMK and RP are now connected.

Why is it important? Clients can now test their systems in a preview environment from beginning to end.

Minor but Helpful Enhancements:

  • Job Analyzer: When a user is creating a requisition in SuccessFactors Recruiting, the Job Analyzer provides insights on the effectiveness of the content of the requisition including data analysis on the effectiveness of the job description including whether the job description will introduce gender biases as well as insights of external aggregated open web data through smartsearch APIs.
  • Eliminating Enforced “.zip”-file Attachments in Recruiting Emails: Nowadays, “.zip” file format is getting less popular, especially with mobile devices. Increasing email attachment size limits allow for the attachments, when these are text documents or images to be dine in the original format.  Included in the enhancement in SuccessFactors Recruiting Management are Forward to Colleague and Recruiting Email Templates.  
  • Home Page v3 – Nudge feature for Job Requisition: Hiring Managers and Recruiters can nudge users on whom an approval is pending for a Job Requisition in Home Page V3.
  • Passing Consent Fields to RMK with Candidate Account Simplification (CAS): Hiring Managers and Recruiters can nudge users on whom an approval is pending for a Job Requisition in Home Page V3.
